Computational thinking is recognized as an essential skillset. Students of all ages must acquire the appropriate competencies in computer science to meet the demands of 21st century society. To achieve this, teachers must be adequately trained. This white paper outlines Tennessee’s statewide train-the-trainer model of professional learning connecting computational thinking and computer science with content-area instruction. This model integrates computational thinking and computer science practices across all content areas, emphasizing that computer science is for all students.
